Trekking Partners Nepal Is Live: A Free Place to Find Trekking Partners in Nepal

Our free noticeboard for trekkers is now live: post your dates, find partners for 26 treks across Nepal, share guide costs or join a small-group departure.

Every trekking season we meet solo travellers in Kathmandu and Pokhara asking the same question: is anyone else going my way? Today we’re launching Trekking Partners Nepal, a free place to find the answer.

Why we built it

Most of Nepal’s trekking areas now require foreign trekkers to walk with a licensed guide, and restricted areas like Manaslu and Upper Mustang need at least two trekkers to get a permit. For solo travellers, that makes a trekking partner more than good company. It’s the easiest way to share the cost of a guide, a jeep or a room, and sometimes the only way to get the permit at all.

Facebook groups help, but posts disappear in the feed within hours. So we built one place where every trek in Nepal has its own page, and your post stays up until your trek date has passed.

How it works

  • Pick your trek. Browse 26 treks across six regions, from Annapurna and Everest to remote Western Nepal.
  • Post your dates. Sign in with Google, add your name, age and nationality, and share when you’re going, your pace and what you’re looking for.
  • Team up. Reply to trekkers heading the same way, agree on a plan and split guide, porter and permit costs.

Posts are public so others can find you, but replies are only visible to signed-in members, so you can share contact details there more safely.

Prefer a ready-made group?

If you’d rather not organise it yourself, join one of our fixed departures: small-group treks with licensed local guides from Discover Parbat. Come on your own and trek with others on the same dates. Booking one is never required to use the partner board.

Free, and kept friendly

Finding partners is free and always will be. We don’t show ads or sell your data. Every post, reply and profile can be reported, and we remove spam, scams and anyone who makes others uncomfortable. Before you meet someone, take two minutes to read our safety tips.

Planning a trek this season? Post your dates and let other trekkers find you, or join the conversation in our Facebook group.

We’ll keep sharing trail conditions, permit changes and trekking news here on our news page. Have a trail update or an idea for the site? Email us at [email protected].

Conditions in the mountains change quickly. Always double-check with your guide, lodge or the local checkpost before you set off.
